What about shipping?

As you can imagine, properly protecting and shipping your Sobro Smart Side Table is expensive. The quotations we received so far have given us sticker shock. We don’t want the same to happen to you, so we are capping the maximum standard shipping charge at $29 and we will absorb the remainder. This will put the pressure on us to find the best methods available. Unfortunately, there will be an additional shipping charge for Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico. The shipping charge for these locations will be $89. For international customers, the shipping charge will be $119. Shipping will be available to the US, Canada, EU, UK, Switzerland and Norway. Please note this does not include any import/tax duties imposed by Canada as we have no control over these factors.

We have already started to work with our network of logistics partners and the one factor that substantially reduces the shipping cost is critical mass. Assuming this campaign gets the monstrous support that we are hoping for, we will be able to leverage multiple ports & facilities in regions closer to our backers to reduce distance and, when shipping full truckloads, the costs plummet. If we gain enough efficiency to bring the cost below $29.00, we will pass 100% of the savings through to the most important component of this campaign - our backers. When can I expect a delivery?

While the estimated delivery time frame is April 2019, certain factors may slightly delay the project. These include adding suggested features, improvements, obtaining appropriate certifications, and the time taken to clear customs. We will do our best to be as transparent as possible and keep you up to date on all developments. We want to make sure we deliver a quality product that you will enjoy and be proud of!

What happens if the project gets pushed back past the delivery date?

With crowdfunding we are expected to deliver a product that can otherwise take years to deliver. While we will do our best to deliver on the estimated time frame, we also want to make sure we produce a quality product. There may be certain setbacks beyond our control, which may delay the project. However, we will always be transparent and keep you all up to date!

Will the Sobro Smart Side Table vary from the design above?

While we have built the preliminary design and prototypes, we may still make some minor improvements. While the finish product may differ slightly from the original prototype, we will be sure to explain such changes in our updates and the reasoning behind them. We love hearing from our supporters and if you have any suggestions we would be more than happy to consider them.

Can I get a refund after the campaign has ended?

The money raised here on Indiegogo will go into product design and development, purchasing of materials, manufacturing and the final delivery of your Sobro Smart Side Table. Refunds will only be issued if we can not deliver the final product after exploring all possible options. We will do our best to be transparent and keep you updated on all developments.

Yes, you only need to screw the legs into the bottom of the table and you are good to go.

What can I charge on the wireless charging pads?

The wireless charging pad can charge up to two compatible cellular phones at a time. Please note that wireless charging may not work on all phones.

What is the temperature of the cooler drawer?

The temperature of the cooler will vary based on the environment temperature. The average range is about 53-68 degrees Fahrenheit.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
